Villani was the second former teacher to go on to be Blair’s Principal. After leaving his position at Blair as an English teacher, he went into school administration, including a stint as the Principal at Eastern Middle School (formerly Eastern Junior High). Villani was charged with restoring Blair’s academic leadership, and during his tenure scores began to go back up. His greatest accomplishment may have been the establishment of the Math, Science, and Computer Science Magnet Programs. After leaving as Blair’s Principal he worked in other county schools before beginning a career with the National School Boards Association.
