Tom Brown

Class of 1958

Brown is considered Blair’s alltime best football player, but he also excelled in baseball and basketball. He is one of the very few athletes to play at the professional level in two sports. After an All American career at the University of Maryland, Brown played for the Washington Senators in the early 1960’s.  In 1963, Brown batted against his former Blair teammate, Steve Barber (see above) during an Oriole-Senators game. Brown then switched to football where he was the starting defense back for the Green Bay Packers when they won Super Bowls I and II.
