| Hey, Blair buddies, join in the fun – Blair’s marching band, majorettes (present and past), floats and walkers – in the Blair Diamond Anniversary Parade and Pep Rally to be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 (line up at 8:15 a.m., parade at 9 a.m.) The theme for the parade is “Montgomery Blair High School Thru the Decades!” A Pep Rally and refreshments will immediately follow at the “Old Boys’ Gym” and field on Wayne Avenue. | Tours of the “Old Blair” will also be available from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Walk the halls one more time, and find out how you can support the renovation of the Stickley Auditorium. After the Pep Rally, we’ll convoy over to the (new) school to kick off the Open House, where everyone can walk through Blair’s history via the Decade Neighborhoods.
Blair grads from each decade (1930’s to 2009) are encouraged to enter the Parade by decorating and riding in cars from their years at Blair. We’ll be contacting vintage car clubs to help locate cars for those classes or eras that have trouble locating cars on your own. Streamers, signs, Blair colors, “cheerleaders” riding on the backs of convertibles – anything goes, as long as it’s in the Blair spirit. You can sign up by sending an email to the Alumni Association Manager, typing ‘PARADE’ into the Message Subject field and pasting the following into the Message Area: Name: I would like to participate in the Blair 75th Anniversary Parade: |
