Friday, October 7
10:00am – Class of ’66 Golf Challenge
Join your classmates at the Montgomery Country Club for a round of golf and snacks at the award-winning golf course.
10:00am – Parks Walk and Ride
For those of you interested in getting outdoors but not a golfer, we’ll checkout the parks and take a leisurely walk with our classmates and friends. Biking is another option.
5:00pm – Fire Station One in Silver Spring
You will remember this restaurant as a real fire station on Georgia Avenue. We’ll meet upstairs for food, drink, and finding our classmates to relive the good ole days. Enjoy reconnecting with your classmates and pay as you go.
7:00- Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club – 4 Tops!!
Our classmate, Rick Brown, is owner and has generously offered the club for a Blair night to remember. We saw the 4 Tops in our own Boys Gym in during our senior year and now we’re going back in time as we dance, eat, and drink to the music we loved so much, performed by this fabulous 4 Tops tribute group. Get there early to mix and mingle, and have some specially prepared Hot Shoppes-style food.
Saturday, October 8
10:30am – 11:30am – Walk the halls of Blair
We’ll meet up at our beloved Wayne Avenue campus, and walk the halls before classes start. Stop by your old home room, see if your locker is still there, peek in to see if Miss Stickley actually hid Pokey Bear somewhere in the library, and take that walk down to the Boys Gym and the former home of our football stadium.
11:30am – Nostalgia Bus Tour
Jump on the bus and drive by your Junior High School. We’ll visit them all- Montgomery Hills, Eastern, or Takoma Park. If there is time maybe even be able to drive by your old neighborhood, too.
1:00pm Lunch at The Four Corners Pub
This is a just a drop-in suggestion. Nothing organized, but we encourage you to connect with friends who might also enjoy reliving the old days at the Corner Pub!
Saturday night, October 8 – The Big Event
7:00pm – 50 Year Celebration Party
Silver Spring Knights of Columbus Hall
This is the night we’ve all been waiting for. We will all be in one place at the same time for the first time since 1966! We’ll enjoy an all-inclusive evening of hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, listening and dancing to the music that defined our Blair days. There will be pictures, memorabilia, video, some surprises, and YOU!
